I generally agree with Ebert

I watched Alexander last night - the directors cut - and I agree with Eberts take. I don't think it's as awful as people think, however, it wasn't smooth, didn't seem to have much of a point, and the acting was sub par. Let's not forget the awful accents - did the actors think they were doing braveheart 2?! But I didn't hate it - it still was ok to watch. I wanted to watch an epic movie - and it tried to be one.
