Google Earth was a novelty when it first came out - and I hadn't installed it for awhile since. I just did today - they have definitely added a LOT. I had been reading about various improvements but, as always, the best evidence is close to home! This image is about a block away from my house - 3D buildings for Bloor West!
For other interesting improvements - try out:
- map of the ocean floor
- lots of various map notes - just zoom around
- historical imagery - check out the earth at different points in time
- a map of the sky
It's pretty freaking sweet.
